Recap:

God is good – you can feel it. Not just say it, not just sing it – but sense it. There’s something stirring. There’s this moment where faith rises up and says, “God, You still speak… and I’m ready to listen.” And that’s really the invitation today. Not just to believe that God speaks – but to position your heart to hear Him.

Because the truth is, God has something for you. Not just for the person next to you. Not just for the “spiritual” ones. For you. We’ve been walking through this series on the Holy Spirit, and the heartbeat behind all of it is simple: The Holy Spirit is for everyone. Not just pastors. Not just leaders. Not just the people who seem like they have it all together. Everyone.

That’s what Acts 2 reminds us – the promise is for you, for your children, and for those who feel far away. Which means nobody is disqualified. Nobody is too far gone. Nobody is outside the reach of God. And that should stir something in us. For our kids. For our families. For the people we love who aren’t walking with God yet. God is still drawing people. The Holy Spirit is still calling.

And here’s the tension – so many of us believe in Jesus, but we’re barely living with the Holy Spirit. It’s like we’ve got access to something powerful… but we’re only using a fraction of it. Like carrying a phone with unbelievable capability, but only using it for the most basic things. There’s so much more available – but we’re not tapping into it. And that’s how a lot of believers live. Saved, yes. But not fully walking in the power, the presence, the daily guidance of the Holy Spirit.

And the heart behind this message is simple – there’s more. Not more striving. Not more pressure. More of Him. Because when you said yes to Jesus, something real happened. You weren’t just forgiven – you were filled.

In John 20, Jesus steps into a room full of fear, anxiety, and uncertainty. The disciples are hiding, unsure of what’s next, paralyzed by what they’ve just walked through. And Jesus shows up. Not with a lecture. Not with a plan. With His presence. He speaks peace… and then He breathes on them and says, “Receive the Holy Spirit.” It’s a picture of new life.

Just like in Genesis when God breathed life into Adam – now Jesus breathes spiritual life into us. And that’s what happens when you surrender to Him. You go from spiritually dead… to fully alive. And the Holy Spirit doesn’t just visit you. He moves in.

Which means you’re not doing life alone anymore. You’ve got a guide. Like a blind runner in a race, tethered to someone who can see what they can’t – that’s what life with the Holy Spirit looks like. You don’t always know what’s ahead. You don’t always see clearly. But He’s right there, guiding, nudging, keeping you in step.

So what does that actually look like in real life? It means the Holy Spirit becomes your helper. Not someday. Not just in church. Monday morning. Real life. When you don’t know what to say in that conversation. When you’re navigating tension at home or pressure at work. When you feel overwhelmed and unsure. You can pause and say, “Holy Spirit, I need your help.” And He’s not distant. He’s been waiting for that invitation.

He’s also your teacher. Not just teaching you information – but transforming how you live. You read something you’ve read a hundred times, and suddenly it hits differently. You’re about to say something you’ll regret, and a verse comes to mind. You feel a check in your spirit, a redirection, a reminder. That’s Him. Not condemning you – but guiding you.

Because the Holy Spirit doesn’t push you away from God. He pulls you toward Jesus. In a world that constantly points you back to yourself – your image, your voice, your platform – the Holy Spirit does the opposite. He lifts your eyes off yourself… and fixes them on Jesus. And that’s where peace comes from. That’s where clarity comes from. That’s where life begins to make sense again.

He also convicts you. Not with shame. Not with guilt. But with love. A nudge that says, “That’s not who you are anymore.” When something doesn’t sit right. When you feel that tension inside. That’s not condemnation – that’s the Holy Spirit protecting your future.

And He guides you into truth. In a world full of noise, opinions, and endless voices – He whispers. Not loud. Not forceful. But consistent. “Call that person.” “Apologize.” “Step out.” “Don’t go there.” And the question becomes – will you listen? Because most of the time, it’s not that God isn’t speaking. It’s that we’re not slowing down enough to recognize His voice.

So here’s the one practice to carry with you this week: In the middle of your day – in the ordinary moments – just ask: “Is that You, Holy Spirit?” When you feel the nudge. When something keeps coming to mind. When you’re unsure what to do. “Is that You?” Start asking it. Again and again. And what you’ll find is this – you’ll begin to recognize His voice more clearly.

Because you weren’t just saved from something. You were filled with Someone. And He’s with you – every moment, every step, every day. You’re not alone. You’ve never been alone. And there is so much more available than what you’ve been living in. So lean in. Listen closely. And walk with Him.
