Chip serves on the faculty of Daystar University in Nairobi, a Christian liberal arts university in Africa. Chip directs the Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (CETL) at Daystar. CETL is the university's faculty development program. Chip also directs the Christian Higher Education Faculty Development Network (CHEFDN).  This is an Africa-wide body supporting the professional development of faculty members of Christian institutions of higher learning in Africa. 

Chari serves in the counseling department of their church, Nairobi Chapel. She both trains lay counselors and does counseling herself.
