ZOE is the youth ministry of Cross Points Church that spans grades
7-12.
The word ZOE is Greek and translates to mean “life”. Our
prayer, desire, and passion is that every young person would encounter true
life. To that end, we use John 10:10 as our theme verse. It says
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that
they (you) may have abundant life.” So we strive everyday to pursue this
goal, knowing that Jesus is the only one who can fill us with everlasting
life.
Our youth services are on Wednesday nights from 7-8:30PM in the
Fellowship Hall. Here we have a time of passionate/intimate worship,
games, hanging out, and an opportunity to grow and be challenged through the
Word of God.
Another important thing to know is that ZOE is more than
just a meeting on Wednesday nights. We have girls and guys Bible Studies
on Sunday Nights, Worship Nights, Movie Nights, Games Nights, Holiday Parties,
Summer Internships, Spring Break Trips, Mud Soccer, Mission Rules, Purity
Banquet/Lock-Ins, Desperation Conferences, Summer Camps, Mission Trips, and
much more.
Walking through these delicate years of life and finding who
you are in Christ can be a difficult journey. Our goal, as a youth
ministry, is to be there, walking through the fire with each other. Our
goal is not to always succeed, but to never quit. Our goal is not to be focused
on how great or little we think we are, but to focus on how great He is.
ZOE means life; our goal is to embody that Christ-given life in such a way that
we overflow God’s love onto those around us, thus changing them forever.
