SHARING
YOUR GIFT
“The
Blessings of Serving”
Ephesians
6:7-8 says, “Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men,
because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does,
whether he is slave or free.” And in Mark 9:41, Jesus says, “I tell you
the truth, if anyone who gives you a cup of water in My name because you belong
to Christ will certainly not lose his reward.”
The Bible
is replete with admonitions relating to serving. No one who has chosen to
follow the Lord Jesus Christ can deny the requirement to serve others. Jesus
identified himself as a servant, washing the feet of his disciples and
encouraging them to serve one another.
From the
founding days of Cross
Points Church,
formerly Full Faith Church of Love, the faithful have sought ways to serve one
another and the community. Serving in any capacity clearly fulfills the
Cross Points’ mission to foster caring relationships, build healthy families and
impact our community.
Serving is
our purpose. The ministries that we have available are designed to help meet
the needs people experience at different stages of life. Besides the ministries
highlighted on this site, here are a few specific areas that may be a blessing
to you, no matter where you are in your life and relationship with the Lord:
Alms Ministry
Providing financial
assistance, counseling, and prayer for Cross Pointers who are struggling
economically. This
ministry is primarily to families and occasionally individuals who are
struggling to meet their financial obligations due to illness, employment
issues or other unforeseen difficulties. Ministry volunteers meet
confidentially with clients from our church family to review their
circumstances and help determine a short and long-term response. Please
