You will find the people here warm and receptive, as well as eager to be the extended body of Christ to the community around us.

 

Our desire is to bring people together from all over the Kansas City area to unite in worship and see lives changed while telling the powerful message of the love that Jesus has for us.  It’s a love that caused Him to die on the cross for our sin; that gives hope through the power of the resurrection; that sets in motion our passion to live for Him.

 

Whether you are new to the area or in search of a new church home, Cross Points Church has over 20 ministries in place that serve the entire family and provide numerous opportunities for involvement. Our Church is about building caring relationships, healthy families, and serving communities.

 

You and your family are invited to join us as we share in the life-changing impact of scripture and the life-changing influence of being a true follower of Jesus Christ.

 

It is never easy to visit a new church for the first time, so we want to be as helpful as we can to make your experience a good one. 

 

Worship

This time is set aside for communicating with God from our hearts.  We have live upbeat worship with guitars, drums -the works, as well as intimate songs of worship.  Everyone worships in their own unique way – for many, that means singing, clapping and raising their hands, and for others it means quietly reflecting on the words. At Cross Points Church, you’re welcome to do what comes from the heart in praise to God. We provide words for all songs on the main screen at the front of the auditorium, so you never have to wonder what is being sung.

Offering

Each of our members will take time to worship God through the giving of tithes and offerings on their own at our offering boxes at each door.  As a guest, please do not feel any pressure to give.  This is an act of worship for our regular attendees, allowing them to thank God for all of the great work he is doing in their lives.  It also gives Cross Points Church the means to reach more people for Christ in the future.

The Message

In every service you will hear a relevant, straightforward message that is based on Scripture and is designed to be helpful in your everyday life.  We trust that these messages will help you develop a growing, vibrant relationship with Jesus Christ and provide a strong biblical foundation for your life.

Communion

We celebrate communion together on designated Sunday Mornings. Anyone can participate in this time of reflection and prayer – as long they’ve made the decision to follow Jesus Christ.  The juice and bread that we share represent the life He gave up so that our sins could be forgiven.

After the Service

Visit the Coffee Shop

As a guest, you’ll be asked to fill out a Visitor Card during the service, which can be filled out and placed it in the offering or dropped off at Information Booth in the Lobby.  Then stop by The Northstar Coffee Shop off the lobby of the sanctuary following the message and pick up a free gift. Sermon cd’s and other resources are also available.

 

Pick up your kids

Make sure that you have the security tags that match the nametag your child is wearing. For nursery aged kids, you will fill this out in their class as you drop them off. For preschool, kindergarten, and elementary children the tags are available at your seat in the sanctuary before kids are dismissed. Simply follow the directions given in service and on the tag! Workers strive to ensure your children’s safety, so please keep your portion of the tag for check out.  Please pick up your children promptly following the service.
