Every
man, woman, boy and girl, is born into a world that is torn and damaged by
evil, suffering, and sin. But Jesus offers a message of hope, declaring that
salvation is found when a person is “born again” (John 3:3).
*What is being “born again”?
Jesus was
explaining to a man that came to Him one night that he must be forgiven—just as
a new born baby is innocent in life, so must a person must be innocent before
God, in order to live in restored relationship with Him.
*Forgiven? From what?
The Bible
says all have sinned and come short of God’s glory (Romans 3:23) and that the
result of sin is death (Romans 6:23). So all people are in need
of God’s forgiveness.
*How can I be forgiven?
Very
simple. All that is needed is to accept the sacrifice of Jesus Christ.
The gift from God is eternal life through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23), and it is
freely given to anyone who asks.
*What do I need to do?
Confess
and believe. The Bible says if you confess with your mouth and believe in your
heart that Jesus Christ was raised from the dead you would be saved (Romans
10:9).
*Pray this prayer:
Heavenly
Father,
I now know I need Your forgiveness.
I ask You now to forgive me of all my sins.
I believe that Your Son Jesus Christ
Died on the cross for my sins
And three days later came back to life by Your power.
I accept His sacrifice for me
And I believe I am now Your child.
Thank you for Your forgiveness.
Amen.
If you
have prayed this prayer and believe it, welcome to the Family of God! Putting
your trust in Jesus means that you have been forgiven, and your life on earth
and eternity is forever changed. God welcomes you with open arms, as His child,
and your eternal destiny is abundant life and joy in His presence—heaven.
